Dennis Martin

Dennis is considered one of Canberra’s most eminent commercial lawyers, having established
an enviable client base over 40 years of legal practice. This includes representational
roles on behalf of some 20 foreign governments in Australia.
Dennis is legal counsel to several high profile businesses which have a local and
interstate presence in the hospitality, construction and property development sectors.
He combines his vast experience with lateral thinking to resolve matters in relation
to commercial leasing, insolvency, business structures, joint ventures, corporations,
tax, and contract disputes.
Dennis is also sought after by companies and national associations for his expertise
in the agriculture and information technology sectors. As a specialist franchise
adviser, Dennis works closely with both franchisors and franchisees of a number
of well-known retail, food and beverage, and service businesses.
Snedden Hall & Gallop is the only Canberra-based member of the international Meritas
network of commercial law firms and Dennis is the firm’s principal Meritas contact.
A firm believer in philanthropic causes and organisations, Dennis actively supports
community activities. He is Chair of the CAT
Awards Limited, the Canberra region’s own amateur theatre awards.
