Tanya Herbertson
Director
Tanya joined Snedden Hall & Gallop in 2003. She was appointed a Senior Associate
in 2005 and a Director in 2010. She leads the firm’s Wills and Estate team and is
also a member of the Personal Injury team.
Tanya has an extensive practice in estate planning and administration. She is experienced
in the preparation of wills and powers of attorney, in addition to arranging probate
and letters of administration applications and attending to the administration of
deceased estates. Tanya also has significant expertise in estate litigation and
has successfully represented clients in matters regarding contested wills and family
provision claims.
Tanya specialises in all areas of personal injury compensation, such as motor vehicle
accidents, work injuries, medical and professional negligence claims and Comcare
matters. Prior to joining Snedden Hall & Gallop, Tanya was a Claims Manager at NRMA.
As such, she has a thorough understanding of the way insurance companies work and
is well-equipped to represent clients to achieve successful settlements.
Tanya is a friendly and approachable lawyer who prides herself on responding quickly
to clients and keeping them well informed. Her clients greatly value her attention-to-detail
and efficiency and, for this reason, they frequently refer friends and family members
to her. Tanya has worked for many non-English speaking clients, often with the aid
of an interpreter.
Tanya is a member of the ACT Law Society, the Australian Lawyers Alliance, and the
Chamber of Women in Business. Outside of work, Tanya spends much of her time looking
after her young family.
