Careers

Snedden Hall & Gallop acknowledges that its professional and committed staff is its principal asset. These dedicated members not only benefit the firm, but also provide first-class service to its clients.  In order to retain them, staff members are provided with coaching, mentoring and practical training, and they work in a positive and engaging environment.

Staff members are encouraged to focus on their personal and professional development and are supported in their efforts to maintain a healthy work and family life balance.  Some members of staff, such as the document production team, have been given the opportunity to work offsite, and young mums and dads are sometimes offered the flexibility of working from home.

Although the staff members work hard, they also have fun through activities arranged by the social committee.  Snedden Hall & Gallop’s staff is well known for its support of the local community and provides opportunities to become involved in events such as the ‘Be the Best You Can Be’ Athletics Carnival, which is held annually at the Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) athletics tracks.  Local charities are also supported with various functions and ‘casual’ days.

Snedden Hall & Gallop administers innovative programmes, such as the School Academic Prize for Colleges and the University Scholarship programme.  These two programmes provide students studying law at Canberra’s universities with the opportunity to participate in work experience and, in the long-term, to be employed as paralegals, law clerks and graduate lawyers.
